The Latino Media certificate from Webster University is designed for students that want to deepen their knowledge of Latino media in the United States and the evolution of media in Latin America.
This certificate moves beyond theory to provide you with hands-on experience in various communication forms designed to connect with Latino communities. This includes projects ranging from journalism and public relations to promotions and marketing.
As a result, you will better understand the breadth of media communications. You will be able to examine media from many different cultural, economic and political lenses. You will learn to apply qualitative and quantitative research methodologies as well as research strategies to analyze media.
The program incorporates fundamental courses that are part of the Master of Arts (MA) in media communications and may eventually open the rest of that curricular program. It is only offered through the metro campus locations in San Antonio, Orlando, and Irvine, along with hybrid course offerings at the Webster Groves home campus. To qualify for this certificate program, you must be enrolled for in-person classroom offerings or hybrid courses at one of those four locations.
